UrePac® Flex 50 15 is a two component, polyurethane foam comprising of a polyether polyol and the
MDI-based isocyanate, Urepac 2001. The system has been developed to manufacture a low density
thermoformable foam block. Carbon Dioxide (CO2) formed from the reaction of water included in the
polyol formulation with MDI, and steam generated in the exothermic reaction are the blowing agents.
The system is in itself fire retarded, but requires the addition of a specified grade of Expandable
Graphite to meet Automotive under bonnet fire performance specifications.
